Hey team, for the second awareness event we have decided to hold a TRL competition at Josh’s old Club GPS. Josh was an active member of the Gallopers for over 10 years, celebrating a premiership with the club in 2012.
Everyone is welcome to come along and join us on the day and help in bringing the community together and help raise awareness to assist Just Mossin Inc in continuing the work we have started and to help us keep the conversation going to make the world a better and a safer place for all.
Details for the event are as follows:
The event will be held on the 29th of June and will run from 12pm – 6pm. It is asked that everyone who is participating arrive at 12 in order to get the games started on time. GPS have been generous enough to allow us to use of their fields at the end of Yoku Road in Ashgrove.
Two competitions will be run, men’s and mixed. Each team will consist of at least 10 players and up to a maximum of 13, with 6 on the field at one time for the men’s and 7 for the mixed. Mixed teams registration require a minimum of 4 females. Both divisions will be split into pools in a round robin style format. From this, there will be both semifinals and a final with the winning teams presented with the inaugural Just Mossin TRL trophies. Games will have 10 minute halves with a 3 minute half time break in between. You must be over the age of 14 years and provide a signed consent form from a parent or guardian if under the age of 18 years. https://www.trl.com.au/wp-content/uploads/TRL-Parental-Consent-Form.pdf
Participants are encouraged to come up with a team theme e.g. Hawaiian shirts. It can be as simple as all wearing the same colour, just something to help distinguish you from the rest! All participants must wear closed in shoes, boots are allowed however no metal studs.
Similar to the previous Movie Night, registration will be through ‘Eventbrite’ - please see the link provided. The tickets are available for purchase ‘as a team’, meaning that once you have a team of 10 organised only one ticket is required. Each ticket will cost $400 ($40 per person) and goes towards covering the cost of referee, trainers and insurance. Registration closes on the 14th of June with limited spots available so get in early to make sure you don’t miss out!
A canteen, sausage sizzle and bar will be in operation throughout the day supplying all of your food and drinks needs. A selection of alcoholic beverages will be available on the day at great prices!
Make sure you bring some cash to purchase raffles tickets throughout the day - $2 each of 3 for $5. Just Mossin merchandise will also be available for purchase!
